Wesley Mission - Surry Hills

Practical support to single adults who have been homeless but are now housed - linking into community

Wesley Mission - TEI Family Support

As part of Wesley’s Community and Family Care group, the Targeted Earlier Intervention (TEI) program has a focus on earlier intervention. The TEI program provides targeted services at the point where they can have the most impact - early in life and early in need. By encouraging community based solutions, alongside tailored formal supports, TEI services can ultimately prevent children and young people from entering the statutory child protection system.

Wesley Mission Brisbane - Emergency Relief

The Emergency Relief service provides support to people who are homeless and/or at risk of becoming homeless, to individuals and families who are marginalised and economically and socially disadvantaged. ER assists people in times of crisis with food parcels and vouchers, with urgent bill and rent payments (when funding allows), with payments for scripts for essential medications. The ER Service also assists families with much needed baby clothes and items such as prams, cots, nappies, formula. Case mangement and counselling (information and referral) is also offered to clients accessing the service.

Wesley Mission Queensland is part of The Uniting Church in Australia. Our mission is to walk alongside people in need offering care and compassion and promoting choice, independence and community well-being. Wesley Mission Queensland - Mental Health Community Support Service

We provide outreach support to people living with severe and persistent mental health issues in the Gold Coast region. Our works consists of one on one and group based support with the aim of enabling our participants to reintegrate into their community whilst supporting them on their individual recovery journey.

We regularly support some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged members of our community to find their feet in challenging circumstances, and strive to empower them to live with hope, dignity, autonomy and equity in their community of choice, whilst working collaboratively towards enhancing their wellbeing.

Wesley Mission Queensland - ParentsNext

The ParentsNext program supports parents who have children aged between 9 months and 6 years, to get ready to for employment.
Wesley Mission Qld works with parents to overcome barriers that may prevent them from gaining employment in the future. These barriers may include, financial limitations, family and domestic violence, housing instability, mental health, caring responsibilities and limited education or employment.

Wesley Mission Queensland - Specialist Youth Housing Service

The Specialist Youth Housing Service (SYHS) can provide support for young people and young families in the Logan area who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

SYHS's mobile support program aims to find, secure and sustain safe tenancy by guiding clients through the entire process from attending inspections to moving in and understanding tenancy responsibilities.

SYHS also includes access to Crisis Accommodation Program (CA) properties that are case managed.

The Gunbalanya Safe House is under WARC, which supports women and children in crisis accommodation resulting from domestic violence and/or are at risk of family violence.

West Australian Shalom Group Inc.

Shalom House is an independent residential rehabilitation center located in the heart of the Swan Valley in Perth Western Australia. We are only 23km from the Perth CBD and fully IHCA – accredited against the Alcohol and Other Drug Human Services Standard (AODHSS). We have anywhere up to 200 men and women with children.


Shalom House helps Men, Women & Families with any life controlling issues such as Alcohol, Drugs, Anxiety, Depression, Domestic Violence, Gambling etc. There is no wholistic rehabilitation program like Shalom House anywhere in Australia. All residents graduate the Shalom House program with most family relationships restored as well as all their own personal issues such as unforgivness, bitterness, resentment, anger, guilt and shame etc. Everyone also leaves 100% debt free, with a current drivers license, most off Centrelink within four months and working full time with an employer who is on the same page. Our focus is not just on rehabilitation but also reintegration and resocialisation.


We take in People from all states in Australia such as; Melbourne VIC, Sydney NSW, Adelaide SA, Brisbane QLD, Darwin NT and Perth WA.


We offer a wholistic rehabilitation program that focuses on bringing restoration to all areas of the resident’s life, including finances, relationships, heart issues, employment, education and training for the future. Our program is practical and hands-on, ensuring that residents and all involved in Shalom are valued and contributing members of the community. We offer our services to anyone with a life-controlling issue, whether it be an addiction to substances such as drugs and alcohol or people with anxiety, fear or emotional trauma. We take both Males and Females aged 16 and above.


Shalom House is known to be the largest and strictest rehabilitation centre in Australia. With our no-nonsense approach, many non-negotiable boundaries and strict rules for the residents to abide by, Shalom House ensures they all move through the program as fast as possible whilst at the same time making sure they receive as much from the program as possible.


The founder of Shalom House rehabilitation centre, Peter Lyndon-James, understands the need for rehabilitation and how hard it is to break free from life controlling issues, having himself come from a background of 26 years in addiction. Peter comes from a broken home, he has been institutionalised from the age of nine, and addicted to drugs for most of his life. His struggle to break free from the life that held him captive was a process that taught him a great deal. Peter now uses what he has learned to help set others free from what held him captive for so many years.


Shalom House rehabilitation centre in Perth is founded on Christian Principles and at present caters for up to 140 people across ten properties, staffed by qualified and trained personnel. Our staff and volunteers do their utmost in caring for our clients, making them and their progress our priority.

West Belconnen Child and Family Centre

The early years of a child’s life sets the foundation for their future health, development and learning. The Child and Family Centres are a one-stop-shop for supporting families during this important time.

The Centres are staffed by highly skilled, experienced and qualified practitioners with social work, psychology, specialised nursing or other health, welfare and education qualifications. The staff at the Centres work to deliver a range of support programs and services to assist parents and young children (pre-birth to 8 years; however selected services can be offered to children up to 12 years of age).

West End Uniting Church

We assist asylum seekers, refugees and homeless people with food, clothes, accommodation and household items.
Charitable purposes were pursued through the activities and provision of the services listed. Religious activities in particular were pursued through the coming together and sharing of worship, provision of christian education, nurture, pastoral care and engagement in mission.

West Moreton Community Mental Health Service and Specialised Services

WHMHS is a public mental health service providing acute and community care, working from a recovery model framework. Within our mental health service it is highly recognised that health is more than the lack of illness, therefore work with our clients/consumers with a focus on psycho-social support and community.

West Welcome Wagon

West Welcome Wagon is an inspiring grass roots response from residents in Melbourne's West to the plight of asylum seekers living in their community.

Incorporated in 2014, WWW it is now a vibrant organisation of volunteers seeking out, collecting and delivering donated furniture, white goods, household essentials, toys, text books and food parcels to support asylum seekers as they establish their first home in Australia. West Welcome Wagon operates in the municipalities of Maribyrnong, Moonee Valley, Brimbank, Hobsons Bay and Wyndham, with 200 volunteers supporting almost 1,000 asylum seeker and refugee households.

Western Area Adolescent Team (WAAT)

WAAT is a youth health service for marginalised, at risk and homeless young people in Blacktown LGA through Western Sydney Local Health District. We provide counselling, medical services, health care coordination, basic needs, drop in, and health promotion to young people and their families.

We offer remote dialysis, social support, NDIS and aged-care services and run a bush medicine enterprise. And our services are expanding.

Western Health Mental Health & Wellbeing Service

Western Health Mental Health and Wellbeing service is the Provider of clinical mental health services to adults and older adults with serious mental ill health living within northern and western suburbs of Melbourne. Our Service provides acute, rehabilitation and community care supports. The catchment population live in Brimbank, Melton, Maribyrnong and part of Hume LGAs. We see many people in crisis and have a significant population who are homeless or in unstable housing.

Western Port Community Support

Western Port Community Support is a not for profit volunteer based community organisation that provides comprehensive Emergency Relief and personal support to people experiencing crisis as the result of disadvantage, poverty, unemployment, low income, sickness, poor mental health, misfortune or disability. Our organisation has been established for 40 years and remains the largest provider of Emergency Relief in the Western Port region.
In the main our organisation assists the most disadvantaged families of the Western Port community with food vouchers, fuel vouchers, fruit and vegetables, non-perishable food, essential medication, meal vouchers together with other basic essentials. We also provide critical housing and homelessness case managed support by way of our Housing and Homelessness Program. In addition, we also offer a Family Support Program for clients with complex needs who need ongoing support to attain stability.

To provide legal services and legal adjacent social services with the aim of making navigation of, and access to, the legal system easier for people in need.
