To access donated items or services through GIVIT, please connect with a support organisation registered with GIVIT that can assess your needs and provide assistance. Corinda Christian Kindergarten & Preschool Association Inc

Corinda Christian Kindergarten is a community kindy administered by a committee of volunteers. We are a single-unit kindergarten catering for 3-5 year old children before they transition to school. We have two groups over the week, with a maximum of 22 children in each group. We are an inclusive and welcoming Kindy, fortunate to have families from a range of backgrounds.

Corryong College

Corryong College is a P-12 College of 325 students located in the far north-east of Victoria, some 125 kilometres east of Wodonga and within the Shire of Towong. The College has school-wide computer links, vocational training centre, technical workshops, hospitality centre, several computer labs, outdoor education enterprises, plantations and special purpose rooms for Instrumental Music, Drama and distance education.

Corryong Neighbourhood Centre

Corryong Neighbourhood Centre (CNC) provides an array of services and facilities for the remote Upper Murray community in NE Victoria, including youth services, training, outreach connections, project & event management and community development initiatives as well as auspicing and supporting a wide range of groups. We also operate 2 social enterprise ventures providing training & employment and investment in infrastructure & growth in our region. We have a strong focus on improving training and employment opportunities in the region. We are also the local Centrelink & Vicroads agency.
The CNC's purpose is -
• To build a community that fosters positive, respectful relationships through learning, growth and inclusion
• To make a difference to people in our community by providing a vibrant hub of lifelong learning that brings people together, connects them with services, programs, employment and activities and points them in the right direct

Council on the Ageing (COTA) - ACT

COTA ACT is the peak organisation for all issues relating to older Canberra citizens, seniors, those of mature age and their families. It is an independent organisation working to protect and promote the well-being, rights and interests of all older people in the ACT. COTA ACT is a member of an Australian wide organisation – COTA Australia – and contributes to the development of national policies and agendas. We cover all aspects of the journey of growing older.

Covenant Care

Covenant Care is a program of Holy Covenant Anglican Church, Jamison, and we come under the umbrella of the Faith Community Nurses Association. Covenant Care aims to promote holistic personal health for clients and nurture positive relationships with the client and other people. Our Mission Statement: Nursing people back to life. Our programs include:
• Covenant Care Day Hospice which is a free respite centre to assist those managing a life-limiting illness and their carers (family members)
• Group Outings throughout the year, transporting clients to shows, events, recitals, lunches, talks.
• Client Support for our clients needing a visitor to ease their isolation. Others need help with shopping, cooking or support to attend appointments.
• Household Support helps people to downsize or to declutter and return their homes to comfort and safety.

Cowboys Charity Limited

Cowboys Charity Limited provides through its NRL Cowboys House program, accommodation for disadvantaged Indigenous youth. It removes accommodation as a barrier for kids from remote Indigenous communities to allow them to access quality secondary education.

Cowra Information & Neighbourhood Centre Inc

Cowra Information and Neighbourhood Centre Inc (CINC) is a multi purpose Not For Profit, that provides Family Support Service, Home Modifications, Community Programs, Youth Work. The service delivers their service through equality and has a strong vision of locals supporting locals.

Domestic and family violence

If your life is in danger, call Triple Zero 000 for emergency assistance.

If you have experienced or are at risk of family and domestic violence and/or sexual assault, contact the National Sexual Assault, Family & Domestic Violence Counselling Line on 1800 RESPECT (1800 737 732). 1800 RESPECT is also contactable via text, online chat or video call and is available 24 hours.

 

Financial hardship

The National Debt Helpine provides free, independent and confidential financial counselling via phone or live chat, Monday to Friday. You can call them on 1800 007 007.

Mob Strong Debt Helpline is a free advice service about money matters for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. They can be contacted on 1800 808 488, Monday to Friday.

 

Homelessness

If you’re experiencing or at risk of homelessness, you can find homeless shelters near you by searching on the Ask Izzy website.

Your state or territory government can also help. Listed below are the options by state or territory.

 

Mental health, depression or anxiety

If you or someone else’s life is in daanger, call Triple Zero 000.

You can access 24/7 crisis support by calling Lifeline on 13 11 14. You can also contact Lifeline via text or online chat.

You can talk to a counsellor 24/7 through Beyond Blue. You can also access brief counselling with Beyond Blue via online chat.

If you’re a young person aged 12-25, you can talk to a trained clinician, you can contact Headspace 7 days a week between 9am and 1pm by calling 1800 650 890 or via online chat.

 

For First Nations Australians

If you’re a First Nations Australian and you are going through a tough time, you can call 13YARN (13 92 76) to talk with an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander crisis supporter.

 

Children or young people experiencing hardship

Children and young people aged 5 – 25 can access support through Kids Helpline by calling 1800 55 1800 or through online chat 24/7.

 

For people living with disability

The Disability Gateway is an Australian Government service to help people with disability, their family, friends and carers find the support they need. They can be contacted on 1800 643 787, Monday to Friday.

 

For refugees and asylum seekers

If you’re a refugee or asylum seeker and you need help, you can contact the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre on 03 9326 6066 Monday to Friday for support.

 

For people struggling with addiction

The National Alcohol and Other Drug Hotline is a 24/7 service that provides free and confidential advice about alcohol and other drugs. You can call them on 1800 250 015.

Alternatively, Alcohol & Drug Counselling Online offers 24/7 online chat counselling.
